Gaskell West 1 Solar Plant
Matrix Renewables, the TPG Rise-backed world renewable energy platform, is buying the Gaskell West 2 and three undertaking of 105 MW AC solar plus 80 MWh energy storage from Canadian Solar Inc. by its wholly owned Recurrent Energy LLC subsidiary.
The undertaking, positioned in Kern County, Calif., is absolutely contracted holding 5 long-term power buy agreements with cities and utilities in California. The solar plus storage undertaking is anticipated to succeed in business operation in late 2022. This hybrid undertaking marks the primary transaction between Matrix Renewables and Recurrent.

Canadian Solar’s majority-owned subsidiary CSI Solar will help the undertaking by offering the turnkey battery storage answer for the 80 MWh storage a part of the undertaking. The built-in expertise answer consists of the availability, set up and fee of a lithium iron phosphate-based battery system. In addition, CSI Solar will help the battery storage system with capability and efficiency ensures, making certain system output, security and reliability.
