The Virginia State Corporation Commission (SCC) has authorised practically two dozen new solar and energy storage tasks to assist meet the rising wants of Dominion Energy Virginia prospects.

The SCC approval consists of 9 solar tasks and one energy storage challenge – totaling practically 500 MW – that will likely be owned and operated by Dominion Energy Virginia. Two of the tasks – Kings Creek Solar and Ivy Landfill Solar – will likely be constructed on beforehand developed land. Ivy Landfill Solar would be the firm’s first solar challenge developed on a former landfill.
The SCC additionally authorised power buy agreements with 13 solar and energy storage tasks – totaling greater than 300 MW – which might be owned by unbiased builders.
Construction of the tasks is projected to help 1000’s of jobs and greater than $920 million in financial advantages throughout Virginia.
