Medline has efficiently accomplished a rooftop solar set up atop its Uxbridge, Mass. distribution facility with its long-term solar developer PowerFlex. This 6.7 MW DC system is the fifth rooftop system Medline has accomplished at a facility within the U.S. The system will produce an estimated 8 million kWh of electrical energy.
The 820,000 square-foot Uxbridge facility distributes medical merchandise and units throughout the continuum of care – together with hospitals, nursing houses, surgical procedure facilities, hospice suppliers and doctor places of work. The firm has invested greater than $34 million in renewable energy since 2016, with solar initiatives in a number of states, together with California and Florida, and its headquarters in Northfield, Ill.
