Renewable Properties, a developer and investor in small-scale utility and neighborhood solar initiatives, and Sonoma Clean Power (SCP), a neighborhood selection aggregator (CCA), have signed power buy agreements (PPAs) for 2 solar initiatives. One of the initiatives, situated in Ukiah, California, will embody energy storage. Both initiatives will contribute to SCP’s native useful resource plan for its EverGreen service, which provides subscribers 100% renewable, regionally generated energy 24/7 by means of solar, energy storage and geothermal power.
One of Renewable Properties’ two solar initiatives will embody a 4 MW/16 MWh battery that can primarily be used to seize solar energy generated throughout the center of the day and redeploy the energy within the night hours when clients want it most. The Redemeyer mission will even be the primary regionally sited solar + storage mission for Sonoma Clean Power.

To date, Renewable Properties has partnered with 4 different California CCAs on solar initiatives, and Redemeyer Road Solar would be the second storage mission with a CCA. Projects together with storage are rising as a result of new energy storage incentives within the Inflation Reduction Act, that are making initiatives like these cheaper.
