Commissioning actions have begun at Revolution, a 300 MWh battery energy storage undertaking owned by Spearmint Energy, a renewable energy concern specializing in battery energy storage.
Situated inside a significant wind and solar hub within the Lower Colorado River Authority’s transmission community, Revolution is anticipated to be one of many largest BESS initiatives within the United States.
Supplied by Sungrow Power Supply Co. Ltd., the PowerTitan Series battery energy storage system makes use of lithium-iron phosphate battery cells and a liquid cooling system for added effectivity. Its supply and set up is a building spotlight for Revolution and brings Spearmint nearer to commencing industrial operation of the undertaking.

The undertaking, which was energized in June 2023, reached mechanical completion in July and is scheduled to start operations later this yr.
